Meta Muse for Business: How Small Businesses Can Use It

Published 6 min read

Meta Muse for business isn’t a separate app. It’s a set of new skills and connectors that Meta added to the regular Muse app on September 29, 2026. Meta calls it Muse for Small Business.

Connectors are links that let Muse read from, and sometimes act in, your other apps. With them, Muse can look at your ads, posts, store and books in one place.

There’s no separate price, and Meta makes one promise very clear. In its words, “nothing publishes, sends, or spends without your approval.”

Key facts as of October 2026:

Where can you use it? Meta’s post names the US and Canada. Muse reached Japan on October 23, but Meta hasn’t said if business tools are there.

How small businesses can use Meta Muse

Small businesses can use Muse as a helper that reads their data and drafts work for them to approve. Meta pitches it at owners who are “short on hours, not ideas,” as TechCrunch reported.

Here are the jobs Meta and Fox Business describe:

  • Analyze your ads and content to see what’s working.
  • Draft a week of social posts or a new campaign for you to review.
  • Build a growth plan from your sales, campaign and social data.
  • Flag emails that need replies and write first drafts.
  • Review monthly finances and flag odd expenses.

The email part works through Gmail. Our guide to using Meta Muse for email covers that setup.

Owners seem keen. Meta’s Vishal Shah told Axios that about one in three early users linked a business account. TNW reported his comments.

How to get started

  1. Open the Muse app or muse.ai and sign in with your Meta account.
  2. Connect a business app. Ask Muse something like “Connect my Shopify.” Or go to Settings > Connectors > Connect and sign in (Meta Help Center).
  3. Check Facebook and Instagram. They connect on their own if they’re in the same Accounts Center as your Meta account.
  4. Set your permissions, the things you let Muse do without asking. In Settings > Permissions, pick “Always ask” while you learn (Meta Help Center).
  5. Start with a read-only job, like “What were my best posts last month?”

Pros

  • No extra app or extra price
  • Links Meta ads, Facebook and Instagram in one place
  • Meta says nothing publishes, sends or spends without your approval
  • Works with common tools like Shopify, QuickBooks, Slack and Canva

Cons

  • Meta hasn't said exactly what each connector can change
  • Muse may be inaccurate or take unexpected actions, Meta warns
  • Meta doesn't review custom connectors
  • Business features outside the US and Canada aren't confirmed

What’s confirmed and what isn’t

Tool Confirmed Not confirmed
Meta ad accounts Connecting, analyzing results, drafting campaigns for review Launching, pausing or changing ads directly
Facebook Pages Connecting, analyzing content, drafting posts Publishing posts directly
Instagram Reading professional account analytics, drafting posts Publishing posts or replying to messages directly
Shopify Connecting your store, using sales data in plans Exact read vs write abilities
QuickBooks Connecting, reviewing finances, flagging odd expenses Exact read vs write abilities

Meta Muse for Facebook ad management

Muse can connect to your Meta ad accounts, analyze your ads and draft new campaigns for you to review. That’s what Meta’s announcement describes, and it’s a solid start.

What’s confirmed:

  • Connecting your Meta ad accounts to Muse.
  • Asking what’s working in your ads and why.
  • Drafting a new campaign for you to look over.
  • Nothing spends money without your approval.

What isn’t confirmed: Meta’s post doesn’t say Muse can launch, pause or edit ads on its own. It also doesn’t say whether Muse can change budgets. As of October 2026, treat it as a smart analyst and copywriter, not an autopilot.

Some ad pros are already testing the limits. Meta ads consultant Jon Loomer built an ad-planning tool with Muse “in one evening.” He said he used “zero code.”

He said it “mostly does what I want,” but called it a work in progress.

Good first requests:

  • “Compare my ads from last month and tell me which ones did best.”
  • “Draft three new ad ideas for our spring sale. Don’t publish anything.”

Muse for Instagram

Muse can read the analytics from your Instagram professional account and help you plan and draft content. Instagram and Facebook connect on their own if they sit in the same Accounts Center as your Meta account.

Fox Business says Muse can draft a week of social posts for you to review. You can also ask it what kinds of posts got the most reach. Meta hasn’t confirmed that Muse can publish posts or reply to comments and messages for you.

Connect Meta Muse to Shopify

Shopify is one of the business connectors Meta named, so you can link your store to Muse. Ask Muse to connect it, or go to Settings > Connectors.

Once it’s linked, Meta says Muse can build a growth plan from your sales and social data. It can also help spot trends.

What it can change in your store is less clear. TNW noted that Meta didn’t give details on what the Shopify connector can read or write.

So don’t assume Muse can edit products, prices or refunds as of October 2026. Ask it to suggest changes, then make them yourself in Shopify.

Shopify shows up on the shopping side too. Shopify’s CEO said Shop Pay checkout works with Muse on all Shopify stores. That’s about buying, not running your store.

Our Meta Muse shopping guide explains it.

Meta Muse QuickBooks integration

Yes, Intuit QuickBooks is on Meta’s list of business connectors for Muse. Business tools like QuickBooks arrived in the app with version 10.0 on October 7, 2026, per the App Store notes.

Meta’s own example is simple: Muse reviews your monthly finances and flags expenses that look odd. That’s a helpful second pair of eyes.

What Meta hasn’t confirmed is whether Muse can create invoices, change entries or pay bills through QuickBooks. Until it does, keep these habits:

  • Use “Always ask” for the QuickBooks connector.
  • Check its numbers against QuickBooks itself. Meta warns Muse “may be inaccurate.”
  • Keep money moves in your hands. Some banks, like Schwab, block AI agents from moving client money anyway.
