Muse AI Invite Codes, Referral Codes and Waitlist Explained

You don’t need a Muse AI invite code to join Meta Muse as of October 2026. Adults in the US, Canada or Japan can download the app or use muse.ai right away.
The “invite codes” people share today are really referral codes. They reportedly give you and a friend bonus tokens. Tokens are the units Muse uses to measure how much work it does for you.

Do you need a Muse AI invite code?
No, you don’t need a Muse AI invite code to join. Muse launched in the US on September 8, 2026. Meta’s launch post said it was rolling out on iOS, Android and muse.ai, with no mention of invites.
Canada followed on September 18, 2026, and Japan on October 23, 2026. Reports on both launches mention no invite.
Here’s what you do need instead:
- A Meta account. You can create one with Facebook, Instagram, an email address or a phone number.
- To be 18 or older, per the Muse Terms.
- To live where Muse is offered: the US, Canada or Japan as of October 2026.
- A recent device if you use the iPhone app. It needs iOS 18 or later.

How Muse referral codes work
A Muse referral code gives you and the friend who shared it bonus tokens, according to reports. Meta hasn’t documented the program in its Help Center or the Muse Terms. Here’s what has been reported:
- The bonus: both people get 1 billion Muse tokens. That’s according to replies from the verified @meta.ai account on Threads and iPhoneInCanada.
- The deadline: the new user must redeem the code within 48 hours of joining.
- Uses per code: one Threads reply said 30, another said 20 to 30. A user on X quoted in-app text saying 10. Check the number in your own app.
- Where to redeem: a Threads reply named Settings > General > Redeem invite code. Some reports say the label on phones reads “Redeem token” or “Redeem code.”
Keep in mind those Threads replies may be automated answers from Meta AI. They aren’t formal announcements, so the details could change.
How to redeem a code
- Join Muse first with your Meta account.
- Get a code from someone you trust, like a friend who already uses Muse.
- Open Settings within 48 hours and look for the redeem option.
- Enter the code and check that the bonus shows up.
What 1 billion tokens means
For scale, the $20 Power plan gives you 500 million tokens a week. So a 1 billion token bonus is about two weeks of Power-level use. Our Meta Muse pricing guide explains the plans and limits.
Do bonus tokens run out? Meta’s token help page says promotional tokens don’t expire and stay until you use them. But the Muse Terms say promotional credits “may expire” within a set time shown in your account.
Either way, tokens can’t be moved to another account. Use them on the account that got them.
Is there a Muse AI waitlist?
No, there’s no Muse AI waitlist in the US, Canada or Japan right now. There was one before launch. TestingCatalog reported a closed test with a waitlist and invite codes in early September 2026.
The Mac app is a possible exception. At launch, iPhoneInCanada described Meta’s Mac download page as a waitlist for US users. We couldn’t confirm if that’s still true as of October 2026.
We also couldn’t find an official waitlist for other countries. If Muse isn’t in your country yet, keep an eye on Meta’s news posts.
Muse promo codes and coupons
There are no official Muse promo codes or coupons as of October 2026. We found no discount codes for the Power or Maximum plans either.
Here’s what does exist:
- Referral bonuses, as reported above.
- Promotional credits: the Muse Terms let Meta hand these out.
- Free trials: the Terms say Meta “may” offer them, but no trial is published right now.
- Extra tokens: you can buy more in Muse’s settings. Bought tokens never expire.

How to avoid fake Muse invite codes
The best way to avoid fake Muse invite codes is to skip code websites altogether. You don’t need a code to join, and a friend’s code works just as well.
