Meta Muse Charm: Everything We Know So Far
Published 5 min read
The Meta Muse Charm is a small pocket device from Meta. It lets you talk to Muse, Meta’s personal AI agent, without your phone. Meta showed it at its Connect event in September 2026.
You can’t buy it yet. Meta hasn’t shared a price, a date or full specs. Most hardware details come from Bloomberg’s reporting, not from Meta, so we’ve kept the two apart below.
New to Muse itself? Start with our guide to what Meta Muse is.
What changed (as of October 26, 2026):
- September 23-24, 2026: Meta revealed the Muse Charm at Connect. It promised “more to share later this year.”
- September 24, 2026: Bloomberg reported hardware details and said Mark Zuckerberg expects sales by December.
- Now: Meta has a product page with a “Notify me” sign-up. There are no preorders yet.
What is the Muse Charm?
The Muse Charm is Meta’s first device made just for talking to your Muse agent. Meta’s product page calls it “the first device made for Muse, your personal AI agent.”
What Meta says
Meta’s Connect recap calls it “a delightful and fun device built for you to talk and interact with your Muse.”
Meta says it pairs Muse with a real-time voice model. Meta also says it “fits in your pocket.”
That’s about all Meta has confirmed. Meta’s Muse Charm page shows no specs, price or date.
What Bloomberg reported
Bloomberg’s report, as published by The Irish Times, adds these details:
- About the size of your palm, with a roughly 2-inch OLED touchscreen you use with your thumb.
- A see-through case and a fingerprint sensor to wake it up.
- Front and rear cameras, speakers, microphones and USB-C. Some early reports said it had no cameras.
- A built-in 5G connection, but no phone or video calls.
- An on-screen avatar you can dress up and give a voice.
People keep comparing it to a Tamagotchi, the 1990s pocket pet toy. Meta’s CTO, Andrew Bosworth, reportedly called it “exploration, the classic v0.” In other words, it’s an early first try.
Muse Charm price
Meta hasn’t announced a price for the Muse Charm. Its product page lists no price and no preorder button, as of October 26, 2026.
Bloomberg’s sources said it will cost about the same as a smartwatch. That’s a rough guide, not a number. Treat any exact price you see online as a guess until Meta confirms it.
| Question | What Meta says | What Bloomberg reported |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Not announced | About the price of a smartwatch |
| Release | “More to share later this year” | On sale “by December” |
| Preorders | None yet; “Notify me” sign-up | Not reported |
| Countries | Not announced | Not reported |
Using Muse itself is free with a usage limit. A Charm may not change that, but Meta hasn’t said.
Muse Charm release date
There’s no official release date for the Muse Charm yet. Meta only says, “We’ll have more to share later this year.”
Bloomberg reported that Mark Zuckerberg said it would go on sale by December, ahead of the holidays. Bloomberg also said Meta first planned it for 2027. At the time, only a small number of prototypes existed.
As of October 26, 2026, we found no preorders or other signs of a launch. Meta’s India page says the Charm is “Not yet available in your region” for now. Meta hasn’t said which countries will get it first.
What can the Muse Charm do?
The Charm is mainly a way to talk to your Muse agent, but Meta hasn’t listed its exact features. Zuckerberg reportedly called it “the fastest way to talk to your Muse” when you’re not wearing glasses.
Muse can send email, book appointments, shop with your approval and remind you of things. Our Meta Muse features guide covers what the agent can and can’t do.
What’s still unknown about the Charm itself:
- Battery life: not reported.
- 5G plan: nobody has said if you need a carrier plan or subscription.
- Setup: Bloomberg reported it syncs through the Muse app on iPhone or Android. Meta hasn’t published steps.
You’ll likely want the app first. See how to download the Meta Muse app from the official stores.
Muse on Meta AI glasses
Meta says Muse is coming to its AI glasses “in the coming months,” but it isn’t confirmed live yet. Meta’s Connect recap says you’ll wake it by saying your agent’s name.
Meta says Muse will also be able to act on what you’re looking at. Meta hasn’t named which glasses models will get it, or a date.
Meta’s glasses post lists Ray-Ban Meta Audio from $349 and Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 from $449. Buying those today doesn’t promise Muse support on a set date.
What this means for you
If you already use Muse, you don’t need to do anything yet. Watch for Meta’s update later this year, and sign up on Meta’s page if you’re curious. Don’t pay anyone for a Charm before Meta opens orders.
Meta is building Muse on its own AI models, and new hardware may follow them. Our guide to Meta’s Muse AI models explains what powers the agent today.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Muse Charm a keychain?
Not exactly, but you can carry it like one. Bloomberg reported that the Charm can go on a keychain or a wrist strap, clip to a bag with a lanyard, or sit in your pocket. Meta itself only says it fits in your pocket. It's a small device with a screen, not just a keychain.
Can I buy the Muse Charm now?
No. As of October 26, 2026, there are no preorders and no price. Meta's product page only offers a Notify me sign-up so you can hear when it's ready. Bloomberg reported that Mark Zuckerberg said it would go on sale by December, but Meta's own pages haven't confirmed a date.
Do I need the Muse app to use the Charm?
Probably. Bloomberg reported that the Charm syncs through the Muse app on an iPhone or Android phone. Meta hasn't published setup steps or requirements yet. Since the Charm is a way to talk to your Muse agent, you'll likely need a Muse account, which means a Meta account and being 18 or older.
